Connect to Resilience: Explore how strength does not have to be rigid, and vulnerability does not equate weakness, as you tap into the mysteries of your spine. We will cover the anatomy of Quadratus Lumborum, Iliacus, and Psoas. Deep twists, side bends, and forward folds will be the focus of our pranayama and asana practice.
This workshop series will introduce you to the intersection and complementary nature of Therapeutic Bodywork and Forrest Yoga. During each three-hour workshop we will learn how to stretch, strengthen, muscle test, and myo-fascial release specific structural muscles of the body.
Each session will weave together Forrest Yoga and Ceremony, sequenced to feel and identify the muscle groups of the day in your own body while grounding us in our intention, anatomy discussion, and how to work with injuries and pain in these areas, practicing “seeing” via structural and energetic assessment, muscle testing demonstration and practice, and myo-fascial bodywork demonstration and practice.
This series is designed for everybody. You do not have to be extremely fit, nor have had any experience doing bodywork. This work is for anyone who is interested in going deeper in their Yoga practice and want to better understand anatomy through hands-on and experiential learning.
