Forrest Yoga is a system based on Hatha Yoga and adapted to modern society. The practice places an emphasis on breathing and feeling - by deeply feeling you get to know your body, and in turn come to know your whole self better. Combining pranayama, unique abdominal core exercises, and asana that features longer holds in the poses, Forrest Yoga provides a structure in which you can safely learn to discern what your body needs and create a sense of freedom, increased vitality, and awakened passion.
Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. The practice is founded on four pillars -- Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit.
In this two hour workshop, we will delve into the four pillars of the philosophy of Forrest Yoga and explore the basic moves of the style. Leave the practice invigorated yet deeply relaxed, and carrying a whole new set of tools to use on and off the mat.
